Fried Crawfish
A Cajun Dish


Crawfish is a dish we cook many different ways, and fried is only one of many. We fry em, we boil em we smother em, make stews out of em. we cook em just about any way that can be imagined. Crawfish in the traps, and fish on our lines what more could a cajun ask for. For those of you who are not willing to eat crawfifh, well I say shame on you. This recipe can be used with shrimp or you can even use oysters. It works great with most seafoods. I know that most of you yanks may thing of us as a strange people but we do know great food when we see it, keep your clams we will have crawfish anytime. This dish can be used as your main dish served with french fries, potato salad, even a baked potato if you want. Or it can be used as a side dish with any other great crawfish recipe. This is a fast and easy one for you to try and something good for the body.

You will Need


  • A pound or so of cleaned crawfish tales.
  • 2 to 3 cups of flour.
  • Crazy Cajun Seasoning Mix. (or you can use your favorit seasoning)
  • 1 to 2 eggs.
  • 1/2 cup or so milk.
  • Oil to fry with.
  • A medum size pot or deep fat fryer.

Now we start, put the oil in a pot large enough for the crawfish you fry to be completly submerged. Heat to frying tempreture. In a bowl add the eggs and a cup or so of milk. Beat well to mix the milk and egg. Now add some seasoning to this mixture. Mix again. In a seperate bowl place the flour 2 to 3 cups should be enough for about 1 pound of crawfish. Add some seasoning mix here also. Mix well again. Use your on judgement as to how much seasoning to add to each bowl, you can always add more later, but you can't take any away. Dip the crawfish in the milk and egg mix, coat them real good, next put them in the flour and cover them with the flour and seasoning mix extra well. Now all that is left is to drop the crawfish into the hot oil and fry till a golden brown. I think you will like this one, as I said you can also use this for shrimp or oysters.It's fast it's easy and above all a great crawfish dish the whole family will enjoy.
